Tully’s monster had an alien like tooth tongue and eyes on stalks

A 300 million-year-old fossil of the alien-like animal was first discovered in 1958 by collector Francis Tully in Illionois, the US, which he called the Tullimonstrum gregarium.

Nobody could figure out exactly what it was, and its weird features threw scientists off.

Last year researchers claimed to have solved the mystery, and concluded that Tully’s Monster was a Lamprey fish, an eel-like creature that sucks the blood of its prey using a sucker filled with small, sharp teeth.
